Business Drinking
Business drinking is an indispensable and vital component of business negotiations; when done properly, it can foster rapport, boost productivity, drive performance, and deliver tangible results. However, some sales personnel lack basic etiquette and effective communication skills, leading to serious obstacles in client relationships and project collaborations. To address this issue, Vice President of Administration Sui Yongzong conducted a specialized training session titled “Key Insights on Business Drinking.”
Drawing on more than twenty real-life, quintessential business-drinking cases that have occurred at the company over the years, along with his own insights, Mr. Sui delivered a witty and engaging presentation that covered three key areas: etiquette and norms surrounding drinking, communication skills for business drinking, and the perspectives of historical luminaries such as Confucius and Mencius on wine. He ultimately distilled the secrets of business drinking into two essential principles:
First, listen when others are willing to speak, and speak when others are willing to listen;
Second, the focus of a business wine gathering is not on how much one can drink, but on whether communication is smooth and effective.
Live-Exercise
“Knowledge gained from books alone remains superficial; true understanding comes only through hands-on experience.” Finally, a realistic simulation of a business cocktail reception was conducted: each regional manager played the role assigned by drawing lots, delivered two brief remarks, and presented two glasses of wine, with judges providing individual feedback. This exercise proved highly enlightening, significantly enhancing everyone’s practical interpersonal skills.
Professional Training
Waterproofing is directly linked to the quality and service life of a building, while water leakage in residential properties severely compromises living comfort. On the 30th, industry veteran Feng Shengli delivered a specialized training session titled “Building Waterproofing, Leakage, and Remediation.”
Engineer Feng provided a vivid and detailed explanation covering waterproofing grade design, construction codes, leakage prevention and remediation for various building components, and quality control.
To better assess the effectiveness of the training, a face-to-face group was created to enable all participants to join and take an online quiz. Based on the questions that arose in the quiz responses, Engineer Feng provided analysis and explanations, bringing this training session to a successful conclusion.
