Honhstar | Skill Competition Showcases Excellence, Unites Hearts and Minds to Achieve Outstanding Results
On June 29, the “Red Hearts to the Party, Craftsmanship Builds Weifang” Weifang City Building Materials Physical Testing Skills Competition for the Waterproofing Industry, together with the Fourth Shouguang City “Skills Boost Shouguang” Vocational Skills Competition—the “Shihua Cup” Building Materials Physical Testing Skills Competition—came to a successful close. Dozens of companies from the waterproofing industry and 50 laboratory analysts competed on the same stage.
On June 29, the “Heart to the Party·Craftsmanship Builds Weifang” Weifang City Waterproof Industry Building Materials Physical Inspection Technician Vocational Skills Competition and the Fourth Shouguang City “Skills Boost Shouguang” Vocational Skills Competition—the “Shihua Cup” Building Materials Physical Inspection Technician Vocational Skills Competition—came to a successful conclusion. Dozens of companies from the waterproofing industry and 50 laboratory technicians competed on the same stage. Chen Dong and Yan Huihui from the Honhstar Laboratory proved that women can be just as capable as men, standing out in the fierce competition and winning second and third prizes, respectively.

Enhancing the technical skills of laboratory analysts is the prerequisite and foundation for the high-quality development of a company’s products. Over the years, Honhstar has always attached great importance to talent cultivation and development, sending laboratory analysts to Suzhou every year to attend specialized training for waterproof material inspectors. In addition, the company has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Research Institute of China National Building Material Group, a state-owned enterprise, to jointly establish a waterproof technology R&D center, thus opening a new chapter in industry–university collaboration. As the saying goes, “You reap what you sow.” The company has successively been awarded such honorary titles as “National Standardization Laboratory for the Waterproof Industry,” Weifang Municipal Enterprise Technology Center, Weifang Municipal “One Enterprise, One Technology” R&D Center, Weifang Municipal Self-Healing Waterproof System Engineering Laboratory, and Weifang Municipal Industrial Design Center.
